‘Twas the night before Christmas, when all thru the house, Not a creature was stirring, not even a puppy…. The stockings were hung by the chimney with treats, In hopes they will fall while the peoples sleep;
The puppies were nestled all snug in their beds, While visions of bunnies danc’d in their heads,
When out in the yard there arose such a clatter, I sprang from the couch to see what was the matter. Zoomed to the door I flew like a flicker, Swiped wide the curtain and opened the slider.

The sun on the slope of the patio concrete, Gave a blinding glare of mid-day, hey what’s out there. When, what to my wondering eyes should appear, But a miniature sleigh, and eight tiny bunnies.
With a little old driver, so lively and quick, I knew in a moment it must be a mouse.

To the top of the pergola! to the top of the fence!
“Now dash away! dash away! dash away all!”
Happy Christmas to all, and to all (yawn) a good night.
