Atmospheric Noir

I’ve been try to expand my interest and developed an interest in Film Noir. I was watching the 1931 Maltese Falcon (Ricardo Cortez as Sam Spade) with the He peoples, welp I napped some. He mentioned it was one of the first Noir films. I don’t know who he was talking to – he talks to himself a lot.

I did a Duck-Duck-Go search to figure out what a Noir film is. That was clear as mud, well all I got out of the definition was black and white, dark, and criminal.

Black and white isn’t hard, the pictures are dark. I shook off the dirt but…

…when I got inside the peoples take baby wipes and wipe me down. After they already brushed me off and rubbed me down with a towel. That is criminal.

    1. The He peoples really enjoys TCM, a specially film noir. I prefer the Animal channel. He said that this movie made a great case study, in case you need a movie to study. Both movies rely heavily on the book for dialog; however the 1931 include dialog and scenes consider scandalous. In 1934, the ,Ovid Production Code was established which prohibited scandalous scenes and dialog, thus the 1941 movie is censored.
